Independence Day has always intrigued me. Same with Thanksgiving. Is independence day like our Australia Day? Celebrating when we became a nation as such. Anyway, happy independence day to you! (for yesterday

Thanks, Ray! Yes, we became a nation on July 4, 1776, when we gained our independence, which is why we call it that obviously.

As for Thanksgiving, it's the celebration of a coming together of the pilgrims who landed with the Native Americans Indians) who were already here, where the two parties had a meal together. We use it to also say what we are thankful for. At least that's the short of it. :)

That's cool. Thanks for that Brant. We don't have anything like thanksgiving here. There is a football game on tonight that is pretty big but unless you're in Sydney or Brisbane you don't really care! I recall Friends having a Thanksgiving episode every year. Keep up the good work
